sorry, but the rear arch doesn't look in proportion... it needs to be a bit bigger...

loggyboy

The only thing I always thought with Andys, and it looks to be the same with graemes, is that they use front arches to create the rears, which are smaller than the standard hatch rear arches. I did this p/shop years back which is based on standard hatch rear arches.

I completely agree but I had/have never seen one done well with full hatch quarters, the closest I have seen is the blue saloon/hatch hybrid which didn't look right imo, I'll see if I can find a picture of it, the ps looks great though

i think foam & fibreglass mat would be a good way of making a wider rear arch.

mowgli

this is pretty much how it needs to look

loggyboy

Doesnt need to be wider or large IMO, just taller so as to be about 8 inches above the archlip rather than the 4 or the front arches have. IMO wide arches only suit track/rally slag cars.

I have no problem with the estate just the rear arch/quarter

Theyre even closer to the arch lip than both Andys and Graemes, I think you'l find that will look very odd when sprayed up.

I took my inspiration from a green c plate two built by a guy called Gilly from the North East that I saw at Ultimate Fast Car in '98, this was long before the sky blue one above surfaced, the guy had a hatch after that in blue that was on the front of fast car a few years later, I really don't have a problem with the front wing on the rear, anything is better than the round arch which looks like its off a mk2 Cav. The car still looks lower side on due to the less round arch and looks more like the arch that Novas should have. I understand its a very chalk and cheese thing on this site but 'each to their own'

I agree matey you either love it or hate personally i love it. The way loons were meant to be built i bought mine predone one arch has been completed the other hasent. When my hatch died due to rust. I was looking for something cleannnnnnn so i,could start from scratch then this turned up so purchased it and got it delivered from newcastle to manchester. Mines going for spray in the next month then hopefully the engine will be fitted

He worked at VeeDubs in Gateshead, used to have Antera 151s on if im not mistaken, he was a regular down at the old Sunderland Morrisions cruise wwaaaaaaaaaay back inthe day. I seem to remember the car came to a sad end, he then build the 3dr hatch and had a e36 M3 bumper on.

B969 was built from a brand new shell back in the late 90s and has some interesting history about it and how it came to be about. It is still in the Hartlepool area but not with Andy.

Sure i've got a few pics of Gilly's car somewhere, was lovely till he crashed it!!

The Blue Saloon was build by lad from Hartlepool as Mark said, Was originally Subaru Blue, think the Lads name was Tim that did it! had a brother called Danny with a red Gsi with a c20let
