are all the gaz suspension kits the same or is there an 'ultra low' version that they do? its just because iv just fitted mine on my corsa and my car wont go any lower than around 65mm lowering on the front :(

Sounds like you need the short bodies ones

or shorter springs, and accept that you will hit the bumpstops (with stiffer springs)

AS a follow on from this, can anyone help me out iam about to order a set of gaz coilovers as per deal sorted throught the png/ stuart.

Iam wanting to know what springs iam needing, size and poundage etc, the nova is running 15" compomtive mo's and just looking to have the car lowered around 50-60 just so the wheels sit nice under the arches, like matt's nova ski, before he returned it back to standard, when it was on coilovers.

Any info would be much appreciated.

To get that thing I made low it was on shorter springs and bump stops chopped. IIRC I used 6" springs

I had to chop the original set to get an idea of how low I wanted it, only other way your going to get it lower is to play about with the turrets but thats only something a "scene" boy would do.

In his thread he says its -80 mm springs on the rear and coilovers on the front both made by "gaz"

i have got gaz gold ultra low fully adjustable kit mate i would have thought that the springs would be the same length just the damper alot shorter.

how will a shorter damper and same size spring mean its lower?..... unless the damper rod is shorter too then no it wont be

I had the shorter bodies, with more thread cut on to them and a custom shorter pistons made and a 8inch open length spring.

They made mine up for me as i wanted to run it so low with no probs. The pistons are 2inch shorter that the normal ones fitted to the shorter body kits.

My bump stops are trimmed down.
