when you lower ur car does it actually lower it by wot it says so: im lowering mine by 60mm will it be 60 mm or more or less! :?
reason i asked is i was looking at what i think the ride heoght would be but it dont look that low and other nova s do!
any help or tips
shane
Depends what the kind of nova it is. IE a SR or GTE will Be 30MM lower than a Merit or Swing as standard thus Appling a 60MM lowing kit to an SR will only lower it a further 30MM as the original springs are being replaced. However if lowing a non sports model IE merit then a 60MM lowering kit will lower the car by a full 60MM. Unless the kit was designed specifically designed fro an SR etc then it will state 60MM or 30MM from the standard spring fitted to an SR etc.

Ive got an SR and lowered mine using the g-max kit.

theres only 15mm diff between gsi and normal isnt there? its not that big
maybe 15MM might got that fact wrong but there is that diffrence though.

i got a 1.0 spin so how low will it be? i just got my alloys and put them on then try to see what it would look like when lowered but it dont look low at 60mm!
any ideas
when you've lowered it get your tracking done otherwise you'll be lookin at 2 new front tyres sooner or later as the insides will be bald due to the camber being out

What other concerns are there for people lowering there Novas?
I have got mine lowered 60mm (Mk1 merit) and it is mega low - looks f'king wicked. My tracking was out when it was lowered, so had to get that done.
But....
Do you guys recommend uprating the bump stops, adding new bushes, getting a camber kit? Or is just slapping some new shocks and shortened springs on??
I am only asking cause now that my car is pretty much slammed to the ground (with loads better road holding), driving around on badly surfaced roads doesn't seem to do the car any good. If new bushes, or bumpstops are added would the travel of the suspension be increased - making the ride a little bit more forgiving on the car?

i think lowering is one of those things that u cant really get the whole effect till its done. just go for it
dont buy 60 mm springs yet find some old nova rear only and cut exactly through middle equal on both sides and sit the springs in the with the cut end facing up this lowering is dangerouse but it is exactly 100mm than a standard 1.2 i did it to my last it is a hard ride though
