After 5 years of having the 360 Premium it finally threw up the red ring of death (I'm planning to fix the XBox myself with a kit you can buy but not just yet)
Me and my bro thought it'd be a great time to get the new 360 console with the 250GB HD... so we did.
Here's the problem(s):
we can't do a data transfer from the old XBox HDD to a USB stick as it won't boot up.
we bought a transfer cable to access the old 20GB HDD directly via the new XBox USB Port. But it won't recognise the HDD.
we plugged the HDD into the laptop via usb and was able to get up the files using Xplore360 program. Extracted the profiles to the USB stick but plugging the stick to the new XBox won't allow data transfer. The new XBox wants to format the stick to it's own format but in doing so fills up the stick to it's max therefore not allowing any info to be saved to it (i.e. although it's empty, checking the properties shows the stick is full).Bascially I wanna know if there is anyway to transfer what's on the old hard drive, to the pc, to a usb stick, to the new XBox.
Thanks :thumb:
