Gold Plating Plastic

Anyone know of a reputable place that can gold plate plastic?

Wanna gold plate the spark plug cover for the LET :)

Its possible, just gotta make the plastic conductive. Dont know anywhere or anyone that can though lol

Just wondering if there are kits you can buy, but it probably works out cheaper if I take it to someone who knows how to do it properly.

Any electro plating or surface finishing firm should be able to hook you up?

There was a feature on it in tv recently, can't remember which one but apparently the process of plating plastic is unique and not cheap

Probably need to start ringing round to see if there are any in my area. Buying the kits probably will cost £200 or more. No point if it's just gonna be one item.

of course you can plate plastic with goldy looking colours, look at those cheap phone covers.....
