I'd just run the 8v FPR and injectors. Cant see what running XE items will achieve?

Yes an XE probably does do more than 17PMG, but then its running on the correct injectors!!

I cant see what benefit XE injectors will have. Other than dumping more fuel than the engine can burn. Yeah...epic??!!

IIRC Lynds got 40+mpg from here 2.0l 8v nova! (with the correct injectors fitted)

Wrong injectors = over fuelling = LESS power.

I bet you had a ped with the baffles taken out of the exhausts? Sounded faster so it must have been faster, but odds on, it was slower!

Std injectors, standard reg = 40psi at idle.

I agree with Ben's figures - 40+ mpg easy, even driven like a complete c**t you should get over 30 out of it.

I used to get 33mpg out of my Sport with a full race 1300 on the road, and I didn't give that any quarter! That was with a quaife box, etc... revving at 5000 at 80mph indicated!

IIRC Lynz did something silly like 50mpg or something in the Nova. I'd go back to the standard injectors mate. My dads Cav with the same engine regularly does 35+mpg (standard engine). So the Nova should see at least that
