been thinking about geting my cav slabs redone and been told by a local lad if u get them shot blasted there a pain to get a smooth finish as the std casting is pritty ruf??
what everybodys thoughts and what do u lot thinks better coating or spraying them ???

If you do it at home just crack out the nitromors and spend hours of scraping. But shot blasting should be fine just they have to remeber its alloy and to use a softer grit and not to shoot it to hard or to close otherwise its pits!

Also, etch, then high build prime them. The high build can then be sanded back smooth with 800 grit wet.

It's not the wheels that's rough it's the shot used to blast them that cooks them, look into acid dipping or soda blasting, leaves the surface much smoother,

As said etch prime is a must.

This is one of my 18" alloys I'm refurbing for my Audi after shot blasting

if your guna get them blasted....get them BEAD blasted...its much kinder
