Computer techy bods - help

Help me score a few brownie points with the wife and give me a bit of peace lol

Last weekend I wiped my computer back to factory settings and reinstalled the basics. Now when my wife goes to accept gifts on her farmville, all is well until it tries to redirect her back to the page where it list all the gifts/invites she still has pending. It comes up with this message:

Internet Explorer cannot access the internet site http://www.facebook.com/reqs.php (http://www.facebook.com/reqs.php)

Operation Aborted

Wierd because it actually seems to load the page before it disappears and comes up with the error message.

I've tried messing with security settings, trusted sites, temp internet files, cookies, whatever, but still the same.

Any ideas?

Google is not really my friend. I spent a while last night trying a pile of the stuff they suggested, still no joy though, thats without getting into the really geeky stuff which I just don't understand lol

Was hoping someone might have a an idea here, and be able to explain it in non-techy terms.

Failing that it might be time to try a different browser. Recommendations.

Try using the latest version of IE, or as said firefox
