Well, kind of lol

My grandad bought me this little thing around 10 years ago in Menorca, spain (i was around 6 years old at the time, and i was allready obsessed with novas lol ) Some of you model nerds out there might know jsut how rare these things are, its a 1:15 scale Opel Corsa A made by a company called "Roman" it originally was battery operated and moved around in circles, however 10 years of playing/dropping/taking apart/loosing bits, all that was left by the end of it was the bare shell and plastic seat bit, no glass, no base, no wheels etc, and a horrible cut out in the seat bits where id tried to fix it previously

I started it a while ago, buying various cars form car boot sales, i managed to rig up a perfectly fitting base, i then found a VW Polo tin model made my the same company, the wheels were donated of that to go on the Nova/Corsa as they were the exact same as the originals, some axles were made and the friction roll system from a jeep was installed (so you push it forward, and it keeps on going across the kitchen floor lol) then many days past, then weeks, then months, then years and i forgot about it

So at 9am today, this is what i started with, a red shell, felt tip pen green interior, a roughly primed front panel, and a hangover lol

Then repaired what looked like a melted patch on the bonnet, primed that

Scothed the whole shell before i primed by the way, then primed the rest of the shell

Then spent alot of time on the interior, managed to get it like this in the end, which is a hell of alot better than it was

Heres the base, primed wheel centres too for a new lick of alloy silver paint

then assembled it back together for an overall look

And the base im working on, using badges re-arranged form a well known 4x4 lol

and for reference of the scale, you can see its not your usual small model

Working on the glass currently using some perspex sheeting, un-decided on a colour yet, still got to tackle the ehadlights, rear lights, grille and bumpers that have fallen off over the years, still... nice warm winter project to keep me busy :thumb:

All comments welcome :thumb:
