There isnt tbh mate you can help it by giving it a good service and improve its breathing by adding a nice air filter and good exhaust system ect have a read in the articles there some bits in there about tuning them.

/\ agreed. save up for a bigger engine if you want more power, it is cheaper in the long run.

you get better performance gains by driving down hills a lot

My 1.2i has a piper high lift cam and a K&N and a cat back system which previous owner fitted which make it nippy round town apart from that there is nothing else you can really do.

There's no replacement for displacement.

Just keep it well serviced and look to get a larger engine when time/money/insurance allows.

take our advice, don't even think about it till you are at least 21, the amount you'll pay for insurance will far outweigh any performance gains... £2k a year for a nova is just wrong.....but it happens too often..

i have a 1.2 nova iv had 4years now. i just stripped it out and just got to bucket seats. save wait:cool: people are rite there is not much u can do with out speandin alot best to save for a bigger engine! is it got a 4speed box? if so i think u can get a 1.4sr or even a 1.6gsi and put that on the 4speed box? because the 1.4sr and 1.6gsi have 5speed like most novas. so that could be abit nippy!:thumb:

the 1400 & 1600 mpi engines won't fit the f10 box that a 1.2 has.
