Which fuel tank is this ?

hey,just been to put some fuel in the nova untill i noticed it was pissin out :mad:
looked underneathe to find this,the hole is at the rear on the bottom just in front of the rear axle

as ive only just bought it im unsure whats fitted so wanted to ask you if this is a gte/gsi tank and if thats where the fuel sender goes :confused:

all senders are there as far as I'm aware, where are the outlets?

Any of the early type screw-in ones will fit mate.

Its got bolt holes, so its a bolt in sender......
So the clip in wont fit?

just bolt a piece of metal over the hole

gsi/gte tank is the same fitting but you also get a bolt in fuel sender, and the 2 tanks are different

the gte/gsi tank has the swirl pot and that hole is the where the sender goes and the fuel pick up pipe is part of the sender, the other bolt in sender tank has the pick up on the other side of the tank and only the gauge goes in that hole.

check the front edge of the tank, if the feed and return are both at the front of the tank it is not a gsi tank.

was it running rob? lol lol nah not yet just wanted to get it fired up till i heard it pissin out everywhere,lookin at the tank both fuel lines are at the front so am guessin that holes just for the sender makin it a gte tank.Has anyone got one for sale ? :thumb:

If both lines are at the front then it aint an injection tank.

now i,m confused lol its got an in-line pump if that helps,i hate buyin cars half done id rather build one from scratch at least you no whats what lol

just been out for a closer look (bloody snow) and there is a fuel line running from the in-line pump around to to where the hole for the sender is,so does this make it a gsi tank :confused: and is this gsi one the sender i need ??
