I am in desprate need of someone who can Weld me some new arches in

They are gettin pretty bad :twisted: as you see an could do with someone who won't charge to much to weld in some new ones for me

I wouldn't go through all the trouble to weld new ones in. They are not that bad. Get some fiberglass slapped on and get it all smooth ready for your re-spray.

Mine and Ades were much worse that and we managed with fiberglass and body filler.

if you do it right, you can repair that and stop any more rust yourself

Well if I were you I'd get it done properly, and not just arches, spend as much money as you can afford if it's a long term investment.

quick cheap fix fibreglass

if your serious enough

fresh metal / repair pannels

it would be easier to do a fiber glass repair but don't want to be spendin out again a year down the line on doin it again

Just been to the Bodyshop an they are cuttin out the rust an repairin the Arch sprayin both sides an finishin the Doors an Tailgate all for ?300 so will be bookin it in asap watch this space

i'm havin new arches on mine not worth just doin a quick fix as am lookin to keep the car for a bit. very much worth doin

I dunno how long i am planning on keepin the car really so i am havin them repaired now an the chappy at the bodyshop said that if the rust comes back he will do me a good deal on puttin new arches on so he must trust his work !!!

yup an rust will the breed even more underneath it i am gettin them repaied the GSi skirts an new sr fron an rear bumpers with seat splitter on front one

I had mine done for ?150 each side. Got a new piece of wing from Vauxhall (they do a special rear wing section as every Nova seems to rust in rear wheel arches) for under ?20, cutting old section of wing out rewelding new section and respray that part of the car - it was a mint job, got the arches rolled and sealed at the same time to stop more rust.

if that 1st pic where the side bump strips been removed and on the door is the paint bubbling then get nw panels m8!

If not (just dodgy) then if you know what you are doing you could fibreglass.

Needs lots of work and you need to be pretty good with smoothing and joining with filler but they will come up and be very strong.

I rebuilt my nearside one totally from fibreglass and reseamed it to the inside arch. Had to rivet them together for strength and then build over the rivets but you cannot tell.
