As said, they need 195s on. IMO you need to pay the extra for the 40s as 45s look too chunky for them.
Have a look at the 195's you decide on first if you can - some have massive shoulders and will catch. Pirellis and Yoko's are very slim.
cheers for all the comments i will be on the search for some 195/40/16.
as for the comments about dont get rid of the speedlines im not a big fan of the speedline wheel the ONLY reason ive got these is because thay were so cheap lol.

can pull off 45's on the rear and 40's up front , would only put the 45s on the rear if on low low springs though as wont really see the diffrance and really need 40's up front for going low

id allways go 195/40/16 i had 45's on my sr and the rubbed abit and 195/40's look better as they are a lower profile!!
cheers ive opted for 40's ive found a place that will sort me out some real cheap budget ones in the new year and wen i say cheap its really really cheap lol so i best get them in to work and get refurbing them :D
Streeeeeeeetchhhh. Probably get fined for that over here.

Contis are your best bet, not cheap thow at around £90 a corner
I have sp sport 9000 which I believe have now be superseded, I don't rate them though there too hard imo, have done a good 6 thousand miles on them and they don't seem to of worn a lot, they were noticeably better on on hot roads in the summer but would break traction in third in the wet, I'm going to give Toyo a chance next due to a few people who's opinion I valve rating them and there cheap
wats the ride like on 195/40/16s? getting some speedlines myself and want it pretty low and need 40s for arch clearance

there ok i found mate not any harsher than 45's!!! but then agan my nova is harsh enough any way lol
well ive been around a few places to price tyres up and the cheapest i can find 195/40/16 is £68 +vat each so my speedlines might be up for sale to fund some wheels that dont cost as much to tyre up lmao
rick
You'll not find many tyres much cheaper. I've just paid £55 each for a pair of 15 inch mid range tyres for our Corsa.
in thats case thay will be going lmao
What you going to replace them with though? I suppose some 14" steelies with £25 ditch finders might fit the bill - then you might be able to buy a set of 4 with tyres for cheapness until you can afford tyres for the speedlines.
i want some tigra (round) 5 spokes but ive got some astra sport wheels that i can use for now and ive also got loads and loads of steelies :D
