Normal 063 will do fine. I asked this very same question a while back.

Anything that fits mate really.

Best to go for one with a high rated CCA (that's the burst of amps it can supply at start up) I'd go for something maybe 55Ah or above for a XE if you're running a fair bit of electrical equipment.

I used a Bosch 62Ah 660CCA bettery (just fit into the battery tray) for the 1.2 carb lol A bit overkill but I had a 70amp alternator off a Cav and it was great. It's now in my bros Cav.

Great place to put a 15KG weight; up high, near the front of the car & on the drivers side :tard:

I'm on my second dry cell as they don't enjoy winter :O

well i fixed the non starting problem on the nova then comes to winter and it wont fire up at all just keeps turning over and felt a bit weak, just jump started it of my works van and started first time so taking it that the battery is fubared,

by the way before anyone says it im not nicking the works van battery lol

just didnt want to turn up to a battery place uninformed as you would just see pound signs in there eyes lol

so 55ah and above will do the job then

Always check the "charge date" on a battery from Halfruads before you pay for it :thumb:

Ive found GM dealers to be cheaper for batterys then Halfrauds (for Nova's) but for a Corsa C battery Halfruads was cheaper (£75+vat @ GM, £50 odd Halfords) Still opted for a GM one though, 3 year warranty on it.

^ you got that right mate.

My dad bought a battery from Costco, a Bosch Silver 62 amp jobbie for £58. The exact same battery at Halfords was... wait for it... £113

went to a place today they told me the ah had nothing to do with the battery really as this was the charging time but i need a high cold crank output so just wondering what cc people get recommended for the c20xe

got 650CCA on the Cav XEV no problems here.

The CCA rating normally increases with the Ah rating.

for an XE I'd go at least 55Ah mate (IIRC it's what they would have come with from factory, or there abouts)
