For sale is my 1992 Nova Merit+ 1.2i, and frankly, it's a bit of a shed, although I refer to this as 'character'.
Engine is sweet as an over-sugared donut, starts first time everytime and runs lovely. Clutch and gearbox are also pukka. Brakes aren't so, the rear brakes failed the MOT today as well as the handbrake (crap efficiency, uneven load, general uselessness), although I'm pleased to report the front brakes are fine.
Car still has last year's MOT to run till 14th December and tax until the end of December though so you can drive it home still.
Other issues:
-Rear arches are corroding (advisory on MOT)
-Switching the blower on full often results in a noise that I can only compare to a low flying German bomber (dodgy bearing somewhere?)
-New drivers door on due to rust, I sprayed it myself and I'm no expert, so looks a little shabby, also that door has been de-locked so you have to unlock it from the passenger side (£20 central locking kit off ebay would solve this) and the old door card and window winder need fitting.
-Very minor oil leak
Good points:
-Very very clean alloys with fresh tyres, great fun to drive, too good to scrap, especially as the engine is so reliable.
-Full logbook, only 3 previous owners
-97,000 on the clock.
I'll say £400 ono, collection from Leicestershire. Cheers, Sam.
remeber the door has been changed. Standard wheels and another door also included if wanted.
