Cut the text talk it wont get you anywhere. There are a few members with the boost and fuel turned up a bit which are nearly gsi speed irrc. Standard they are fairly slow!
0-62mph 13s
1/4mile 19s
Top 103mph
according to carfolio.

I've had a 1.5td and although it was sprightly it was never 7.5 secs lol I think the figs jack quoted are reasonably accurate - unless yours is something special?

go on youtube and put in vauxhall nova td guy called dave doing 0-60 in 7.5 to 8s
right, so using the speedo on a 15-20 year old car is about as accurate as labour finance ministers facts.

I'm fairly sure we have a language for a reason? No one gets it right all the time but you just dont try. Plus people on here dont like it:thumb:

Standard?
60 -15% (seems to be what most novas are out by) is 51, rolling start I assume and some dodgy counting it probably does 0-51 in about 9-10 seconds. El Rapido.
the best 0-60 time iv had out of my astra is 9s and mines a 1.7 td running a silly amount of boost which has doubled the power.
although there is corsa that iv seen on youtube that runs a 1.5 td at 36psi

Same, extreamly annoying when you just want to feel the boost in the lower 2 gears with out it just spinning up!

Public GPS isn't as accurate as everyone seems to make out!

so true.... our wagons are restricted to 56mph, and on flat sections on motorway the tracker regularly says 65+mph, when it is physically impossible.
the only accurate measure is still the comedy bike wheel on the back bumper and some clever maths.
