Loss of Power

Jus changed my 1.2 into a 1.4 but when the car reaches about 4 on the rev counter..theres like a lack of power..it carries on revving past 4 but doesnt seem to want to do anything..does this mean the engines jus fukt?? or cud it be to do with the distributer cos my brother is sure the distributer is off a ford or something?? cheers, any help would be grateful....

is there a crank sensor, engine will completely loose power over 4k if its mising or not conected

well there is an extra lead which comes up from behind the engine?? dont know what its for....can't remember off hand what colour (maybe blue and yellow) there was only 5 wires on my 1.2 coil but 6 coming from the 1.4?? dont know if that makes any sense??

if there is a pretty thick black cable (wires inside) coming from the back of he engine thats the crank sensor connector, that needs to be connected to the ecu/loom

if hes changed to a 1.4 he wont have an ECU will he unless hes gone injection?

we talkin carb now? lack of info all the way then really.
wrong coil? dizzy? timing a fcuk mile off? blocked exhaust? blocked filter? choke stuck on

1.4 has an extra wiring loom bit on the coil to dozzy unit. Plugs in at the bottom. helps with timing or summut.

Mines a little flat at the moment too but then I had a weber fitted to it and I think it needs setting up on crypton machine

Its also leaking oil through breather for some reason

ok well cheers everyone..il look into things!! but im pretty sure i havent got that extra piece of wiring from the coil to dizzy..but i dnt know where itd connect to on the dizzy?? ive got one strange wire coming from the side of the dizzy n apparently its a 'Ford' lead..is this the one ADE is on about??
