X14XE problem

Sorry it's a Corsa question but I just prefer it on here...and some of you may know.

I've just got back from supermarket, and last half a mile is a little stretch. So foot down changed at 6000, and pulled into car park to find engine management light on, and the engine running rather rough.

Are there some common issues that might have caused this or have I just fried something???

They suffer with all sorts of problems, although running rough on idle could be a stuck idle control valve, malfunctioning EGR or a cam sensor fault get it code read would be the best bet

Would any of those problems be exhasperated (sp?) by hoofing it?

Best to flash the codes up Matt, could be something and nothing tbh. Is it ticking over oddly?

Yer southie, ticking over badly, but from what i can tell not too bad when you actually 'use' it, if you get me. Hoping it's just EGR valve or something.

Anyone know how much it's going to cost me to get codes flashed up? Never had to do it, but im a student and just paid 1200 quid for insurance on this thing, so rather skint ha

just spoke to my dad, who has the documents at home, the EGR valve was replaced 2 months ago.

i need to drive 60 miles to get home. is there any chance of it causing a major problem over such a distance?
