Why is independent rear suspension better than a beam/axle type?

Anyone tried this on a Nova before (FWD applications)?

What are the pros and cons on a Nova?

have a look on colins WIP hill climb car. there is quite a discussion on it.


basically, a beam is done for cheapness, it only needs 2 bottom mounts, an irs will need 4 bottom mounting points.

if you make one up, on the road, there is going to be very little improvement against the cost involved.

if you want to try one, then go for it.
