Hi, thinking about getting myself a nova and considering a conversion. What would be the best possible engine to fit as a straight swap? ie no fabrication involved. Cheers :thumb:
Why not buy a nova with the desired engine in it?

I would prefer to do it myself, makes for the fun if you know what i mean
What engine size you after?
Plenty different engines slot into these?
What do you intend to use it for? track? road? rally etc etc

biggest possible mate, for road use
Well common conversion is the c20xe which has minimal work,
but its hard to say as there are loadsa of different factors.
Personally, the engine i would put in that will be very simple is either the e16se or c16se out of the GTE and GSI models,
there a 1.6 8v engine which produce 100bhp.
My advice is to research a little, and read through different build threads etc, should make your decision alot easier

as above really, but minimal prep work on car will be the 1.6 8v as no need to seam/stitch the front end and will bolt on standard mounts etc.

or a corsa b sport or gsi lump will mount up to any small block gearbox and use stander mounts but the wiring may be a little harder than an 8v :)

The wiring is still a piece of piss, there are plenty of guides on here covering all aspects of the common conversions
