Ive changed my car quite a few times this year and at the weekend my insurance company (Churchill) said that they wont make any more changes to my policy due to this.

I now need to change company......

Is a traders policy possible even though im not a 'trader'?

Failing that, are there any companies that allow as many as i want?

Im talking consecutive cars I.E. one after the other, not loads on my policy at once.

Handjobs/fingering for all sensible answers.

Cheers all.

Just out of interest how many cars have you have? IIRC i changed mine 6 maybe 7 times. That was with HIC.

How come you change so often?

I guess they cant be arsed with updating the database all the time so have told you to stop.... fair enough really lol.

IIRC with a traders policy you cant actually have your name on the V5

I had a quick tally up and i think its around 8 or 9 cars.

I seem to get bored often, and as soon as i get that feeling, a good deal comes up.

Ive gone from a £70 Cavalier to an Audi A3 1.8 20v turbo lol

I got told this on the fifth change... Its because the insurance companys don't want you trading (buying and selling).

Incorrect, you can add your own cars to the database, providing theyre in your ownership for 14days or more iirc,OP just keep to one car lol

Who was he with?
I could on mine (DNA) was for recovering cars, and servicing and repairs+the normal social domestic and whatever, and 3 other people i know had quads,bikes,mk1 escorts and allsorts on theirs, and yes i actually saw their policies.
Any cars i wanted to add i just had to tell them.

With that amount of vehicle changes insurers will assume you are trading.

I always had social domestic etc on a traders policy, you can get a part time traders policy which as it states doesnt expect you to make a full time income by motor trading.

Try the usual suspects such as unicom, tradex, mma, choicequote.

Tell them you trade in upto 12 cars a year (they wont immpose limits but should reduce the quote) and yes you can have your personal cars on there too.
