wats this that iread about striping the interior of your nova making as much difference as ?500 worth of engine tuning, is that true.

depend on what you spend the ?500 on.
Stripping the seats etc etc out will reduce weight and make the car pull better as if you have a more powerfull engine, but ?500 could do some big tuning if not another engine.
If you allready have a tuned engine then stripping the seats ect will make more difference than spending another ?500 perhaps?
If you want the best performance out of any nova then stripping the interior will certainly help.
the thing about losing weight is it affects all aspects of performance i did it one weekend in my last nova and it certainly felt a load 'sharper'
thing is the back end was >really< light to get the best out of stripping out I would advise some sort of adjustable damping on the back based on my own experience

In my experience...
The Back of my Nova never liked following the front around corners / roundabouts at high speeds. Rear ARB would solve it, but I've never heard of one being done.

yeah basically at the mo iv got a 1.2 nova which is pissing me off so basically i just want to create something thats going to be quick to 60mph without spending a fortune and getting my pant pulled down by the insurance tossers. im not bothered about top end speeds because ill prob get caught and banned so any advice on how to create a light nova wud b most appreciated

Rear ARB would solve it, but I've never heard of one being done.
isnt that what goes through the centre of the rear beam?
