I've seen the latest list of cars in the game, and theres very few vauxhalls/opels in it, and certainly no Novas. That linked list is from 2007, no chance of there being even close to 10,000 cars in the game, unless you count different colours of cars seperatly.

Fact is the amount of man hours AND talent that goes into a Gran Tourismo now and throughout the ages has always set it part from ANY OTHER racing game. I dare you to question the physics on simulation mode using the proper 2 1/2 lock to lock steering wheel.

Actually iRacing is the only sim developer to map tracks using laser technology... Got bored of GT5 when I floored a 700bhp dodge viper mid corner to prove a point and it understeered? Must have had drag slicks on the back lol

I was describing the development team's effort, care & consideration to making real life circuits as accurate as probably the hardware would allow and that was TEN YEARS ago.

Like I said you set GT to simulation mode & use the proper wheel then tell me it's not the most refined & accurate digital driver around. As for an understeering Viper well who knows what setup & game settings you had - probably not touched ASM / TC & i arcade mode...

There's nothing else that rewards like a perfect high speed 4 wheel racing drift in something MR like an exige :)

i had an old ps truck racing game.... on the original settings the wagon was like grabbing a tiger by its tail.......... so i reset the tracking, ride height & brake balance, then won the next 10 races.... i never played it again.

but i do like to knock about on gt1 with some dodgy grey or beige sedan thing & slowly tune it up.. i think it makes the racing better than getting the cheat & 1 gazillion points.
