what the hell have you done to combat the fuel starvation on right hand turns? i believe it to be caused by the fuel moving in the bowl and either away from the jet or raising the float and cutting off the fuel flow? help please

gary c will know mate...i hope so. on a grasstrack forum i've been linked to they appear to raise their float level so there is more fuel in the carb for the bend, but surely it depends on the length of the bend lol

Bloody grasstrack racers

If rust isn't bad enough now we've got grassers ruining nova's as well :(

When My step dad raced in class 2 He was told to use a fuel pump and a regulator and a 1 3/4 SU..

He never had any problems running this way and got great results (think it were around 86bhp)

I will ask him more in a bit though as he is more clued up than me on this topic!

Can you give us some clues on the carb & tank etc?

On the pierburgs that they run on stock rods (that will Upset Edd), I think they raise the float level to combat the same problem.

When I first started racing I had as similar problem, but that turned out to be the under bonnet fuel tank having the pick up pipe in the wrong side.

standard tank and carb, its not actually a grasstracker its my daily drive but i figured you guys must have come across the same problem. on the 1.2 i figured it was maybe a loose electrical connection but the 1L is even worse and blatantly fuel issue

Good point lol lol i thinking of something else lol

Edit: Use a secondary swirl pot on the carb then? People do this to Mk1 Golf GTi's alot? Ive also heard higher pressure fuel pumps solve the problem too.

lmao, i'll let you off being as it is sunday morning after all ;)
