That's your problem, upgrade to 7, or Vista at the minimum. Lol joking, I'm at a loss with XP, hate it :(

Not going to matter much whether he's running Dos, Mac OS or Windows 2020 if he's got no sound card it ain't gonna make any noise lol :thumb:

Retentive. He was asked earlier if he had a sound card and the response was less than positive. Sound card/on board sound/ USB sound. Does it have some form of sound card is a fair question. :p

I agree about it being plugged into the wrong place though :thumb:

OP: post some pics of where you've been plugging the speakers in. Assuming you DO have some sort of sound capability, on a desktop PC the line out is generally coloured snot green these days.

If it was Vista I could have helped him with some problems I had regarding the sound system, sometimes Vista seems to forget about it lol damn Windows OS

Sorry, booze + sat night boredom = sarcasm :d

I skipped Vista and so did work, it's the modern Windows ME :thumb:

My sound disabled itself once because for some reason the Windows Audio service was disabled

the original motherboard should have onboard sound, make sure u plug it into the green headphone jack on the back of the p.c there is usually 3 pink is for mic and others are for surrond sound and such.
