Also had an electrical issue that's happened twice in 6 months: all dash lights on then cuts out then won't restart for an hour or so...

I think I have a good one *touch wood!* lol

Rear washer pump doesn't work. I think I have read of a similar refusing to start issue on Fiat-forum. lol

Do you get the ECU light randomly coming on? Apparently it is linked to a dodgy sensor(s), o2 etc. I thought it wanted a rap battle at first as it looks like a mic. lol

They're meant to be restricted on power when that happens. Mine is fine though. lol

You rolling a Sporting? You can't knock them for go-kart handling, Smart car like parking and MPG though!

Posh. lol S plate Sporting here. Does the job for me though. What MPG are you getting out of curiosity?

That non-start thing, does it just turn over and won't fire then when you try it later on it will start right up?

There's a lot of misleading info on that forum about the transponder chip losing the code so the ECU doesn't recognise it. That's not your issue though, and the 'key code' light stays on on the dash if it doesn't recognise the chip anyway.

I will take a look on the forum too, because I'm sure in amongst all of the ****e I read something that sounded like your problem.

Any idea if the washer pumps are the same on a Punto or anything? I cleaned up the terminals and got one working, but the other doesn't want to know. The main bod of them (solid unpainted steel) was falling off in great chunks too. lol

Ha.. It's just a Sporting with a few different badges and a serial number stuck inside the door..

And Schueys autograph on the tailgate!

Yes, spins but doesn't fire..

Don't pay a lot of attention to MPG..

But I stick about £15 a month in the tank..

I use it for work and bits and pieces..

I live pretty close to work so its not a huge milage (I put 1000) miles on my Tigra Bermuda in 2 and a half years)..

So, has to be over 45 MPG at a guess..

It has uprated pump, and custom chip suited to the 1800 block and pistons, T3 etc. Its always ran fine untill i changed the plugs the other day and cleaned the bay HOWEVER, i dont think this has caused it.

If your familier with the sound of a fuel cut limiter, thats exactly what it does. If i accelerate at half throttle its fine, as its not on full boost, so the problem is boost/fuel related.

I will be checking all the earths, and other terminmals. Also it may be related to the Clifford alarm, as the alarm doesnt beep like it used to, it sounds all depressed and crap, so my suspision is the alarm/immobilisor is getting low voltage. I will be checking the voltage at the fuel pump sometime.

And also ill be removing the fusebox and inspecting and cleaning terminals, as i know its not A1.

Today, i had no work. I expected this, so this morning while at work, i've steam cleaned my ovens grill (it needed it)

Took a pair of damaged Vectra C/Signum headlights. Replaced four of the six damaged fixing lugs. Read todays paper and a had a look through this weeks Autosport and this months Classic Car mags.

I got up at 6, went to work, did about an 1 of work then my neck decided to start playing up:( didnt think to much of it till it started to really hurt, so clocked out and got my brother to take me to the nearby hospital

by the time i got there the pain was unbearable and now I can hardly move my head, doctor has said its my main back neck muscle whichs runs half way down my back which is the problem and I have Torticollis or something like that, so lots of ibuprofen and paracetamol, no lifting or working on the nova:( just slight head movements

so been a great morning for melol

this is what i have

What is Acute Torticollis?

Torticollis comes from two Latin words: torti (twisted) and collis (neck). Acute torticollis is a condition sometimes called wry neck. It is a painful muscle spasm in the neck, similar to having a charlie horse in your leg. A person will often awaken with acute torticollis after spending the previous day outdoors in the wind or having slept with an open window that brought a cool draft into the bedroom. Acute torticollis is a temporary condition that normally takes approximately two weeks to resolve.
