Hi theres an engine om here for sale that im interested in buying to go in my 1.2i nova saloon this is the add:
2.0 16v x20xev on an f13 box so no need for conversion shafts or gear linkage will run your standard linkage and shafts, just need an offside mount.
Is there anyone on here that could fit this for me if i paid them or know of anywhere?
Cheers Shaun

Do it mate, XEV's are far fresher than XE's parts are cheaper and more available. Just sort out it's restrivtive areas like inlet/exhaust manifold, some good cams in there and a quality exhaust system and it'll go well.
The Cav pulls like a train with the XEV in it :thumb:

I've never liked the big block engine on the small block box. If i was to fit an xev i'd fit the correct gearbox and big block shafts.
If you're handy with the spanners you should be able to do it yourself.

dont bother get a xe,
why do people rate them that bad
id have an eco over a 'redtrollop' anyday, less miles, more then lilky more horsepower
/\ can we have kids? xxx
id be looking for a decent late model xev, and an astra gsi xev loom and ecu.

only if i can go on top
the only thing that lets the xev down imo is the sensorage and crap/leaky rocker cover.

and you need a V pulley, you can use an xe one but only 4 out of the 6 holes line up
/\ tops fine hun.
you can use a carlton/frontera 2.0 8v one, it has 4 holes and is the correct offset and is single v.

Normally shabby wiring that does that. So whilst the loom is out, go over it and check condition renew wiring and plugs etc.
