16SE Gearbox

What is the shortest gearbox that can be put on a 16SE? What are your experiences when choosing a gearbox or other?

f13cr with a differential from something like a 1.0 12V CORSA B which should be 4.53:1, but stuart reckons for road, a 4.18:1 from a corsa a gt is best.

Then, for road use, the ideal would be an F13 gearbox of a nova SR, right?
