What mounts and shafts are needed?
Must stay 4 stud, so im sure Bigblock is out of the question!!

if you wanted to run small block then use the easly astra gm 1.7 flywheel(non turbo) and nova gte clutch pressure plate on an f15 box, the use your original shafts/hubs etc

So a flywheel, and complete GTE clutch? Friction and pressure plate?
surely getting bits from a td or 1800 astra would be the best way, as the bits should fit.
Aren't some 2ltr (I'm assuming there bigblock) astras 4stud anyway ?

Again, I have no idea, only thing I have done with a mk4 is a gearbox swap.
So, what engine mount do I use?
big block mk4 astra ones... 1800, 2000, 17td etc
Some of the early big block mk4 astra's were 4 stud!:thumb:
1st question is, SEH why? lol
Mk4 astras have the drivers engine mount on the top of the inner wing/chassis leg, the mount bolts to the side of the block whereas old seh/xe bolt on the front.
Block would need drilling/tapping, but i think some blocks have already got the threads in place.
agreed.. surely an 1800 ecotec will be on a par with it anyway

An 1800 Sri would kill a 25year old shagged seh
Theyre crap in Nova's so in a heavy astra g will be gutless
Ive got an x20xev ecotec on an f13cr box for sale pm me
