Hello There,

I bought her back in march and she has just been sitting around waiting to be fixed I bought it with an overheating problem and a few spots of welding to be done. Got her home chanded the head gasket and all coresponding top engine gaskets, new waterpumb, cambet, head bolts, air filter, oil filter, oil, basically so I had a nice clean running engine to start with.

Then the welding, well 18 different pieces later I was finished.

So had a solid shell and a clean engine, then onto the interior, striped it all out sprayed shampoo into everything gave it a good scrub them out came the jetwasher, clean as you like.

I then had a motorcycle accident and had to get the car mot, tax, insured as my bike was totaled and was my daily. Allthough I did get a courtesy bike I just didn't like riding it.

I have been driving her to and from work and places I needed to go no problem whatsoever, so deceided to give her a treat, as I have just got some money back for the bike, new paint job. I know some people don't like it but I do so I went matt black and I am really pleased with the results, done the paint job last weekend, put some wheels on I had with new tyres, newly painted bumpers, new grill and bobs your uncle.

Anyway enough talk onto the pics.

When I bought her.

I have no picturs of when it was in between welding and paint job but it wasn't pretty so no loss.

The grey was about 5 different shades of grey and all the welded areas were black and the bumpers were sun bleached, and the fillers area was blue i tried to colour match it but it looked awfull. It was a very lengthy decision but i feel i made the best one. looks so much cleaner now. And black is my favourite colour.

I don't mind the matt black but I reckon it's too much with the wheels and bumpers all done in it - needs something to break it up a bit.

Wheels are in gloss, and i am painting the front calipers red rear drums gloss black, putting an sri/gsi spoiler on in matt, and some GM/opel/Vaux mudflaps on the rear hopefully that will break it up. But i know what you mean by breaking it up.

Update I have painted the sri/gsi spoiler and installed it onto the car, I think it completes the look of what I was going for.

Update:

have a very small update, on saturday I changed the fuel overflow pipe, and now have a new plan i am keeping the interior standard with the exception of a new steering wheel and rear speakers and selling the cage and quite a few other things due to the bike needing alot more funds than originally thought.

Update: She is now stripped, just need to block the sunroof hole up then that can come out which means even less weight! I agree it looks a mess now but with a bit of elbow grease and paint she will be llooking awsome soon. Also note the new wheel!
