my mate just been to scotland for a red 3 door, club full electrics no mot or tax and wanted painting and gave £400 for it but i will paint it for him, will be a mini wip up soon on it,

proper little hot hatches imo, infact id rather put a td in my nova than the xe the dervs are more fun i reckon out the 2:p

I've been loking for a 6n2 polo 1.4 tdi (always make silly money) or a lupo/arosa 1.4tdi (hens teeth lol) so may consider a clean one of these, would have to be as late as poss though.

the later ones run the n/a 1.7 mate, iirc the 1.5 td was an option only from s reg.

Sounds about right rob thats why there few and far between, strange though even on a later car still use a wet pack power steering as oppose to epc, as mentioned my mate snapped the x plate one up as it was full electrics last reg,he wanted a rot free one as the later b shells were all sealed better, sills stonechipped as standard, if you see a late one snap it up there pretty rare

there not as good as the b's,the c's tried to get too technical diesel pump ecu's on an isuzu engine why??????? never had a fault on the older pumps too many emmission laws to pass i blame, the cars themselves are built pretty well maybe just me hating ecu'd dervs:p

ECU controlled Dervs are huge piles of win!!!! its the pikey cost down kit they put along with the ecu that ruins things!

Got a friend who has fitted a couple of izuzu engines to both Corsa C's and Astra G's. He has a scrapyard and just stockpiles the engines until he gets a weighed in blown gm late car lol He has got them down to an artform.

Iwill ask him next time im home not seen him for a few months, only few things i can think off he does is weld a lug onto the acc pedal for the throttle cable to go onto, he has a diagram for the wiring as there are certain things you need to leave on the original car loom and parts you need to take off etc. He does an in and out in about 5-6 hours.

its the coolant temp sensor iirc it needs to be fed to the old ecu and the clocks.

ive been told i need to keep the white ecu in the front end as it feeds the clocks but unsure,i would figure it out doing the conversion just not seeing everything and thinking in your head what needs changing isnt ideal
