fuel guage sender wiring?

Hi,

Right im wanting to know where the earth for the fuel guage sender is as it constantly reads over full but occasionally it works so im thinking it could be the earth as ive already changed the sender unit.

Also is the live wired into the fuse box or straight to the clocks?

Really need this working now as im constantly running the car on dregs and carnt be doing the injectors or engine any good.

So where do the two wires go then that connect to it i know one will go to the guage wheres the other go.

Right al have a look its the only thing i can think or that could be wrong.

check your wires from the sender into the car (under the seat) i had the same prob and it was bare wires touching causing the same problem

the live is straight to clocks and the earth goes back along the loom and earths on the rear panel below the boot catch IIRC

if its reading full all the time it could be the sender itself
