PM toymex on here, he had one that made 117 on the rollers, he still has a few of the bits.
i bought my 4branch from eurorallye
Has it still got the varijet carb on there? Someone told me they are good for about 125 BHP, which looking at the size is plausable.
Someone posted on here about those 4-1 manifolds costing 8HP too so stick with the std. I've got a 4-2-1 tony law manifold designed for the 1300 nova in the for sale adds.

The standard 1.3 exhaust manifold (at least on the Nova SR) does seem to be a better design. Just look at them side by side, the standard one has two seperate pipes all the way down to the end where it connects to the rest of the exhaust system, whereas the 4 branches you see on ebay just have all 4 pipes meeting much earlier by the engine sump.
I bought a 4 branch for mine, and although I haven't had it rolling road tested, it felt down on power in comparison. I'll probably put a standard manifold back on mine, if I can find one in decent shape.
hmm i stand corected lol.

4 branches tend to make the engine a bit revvier at top end but you lose out on mid range torque which is where the SR item is better, especially if you have it matched to the head
