just put a 2ltr 8v in my nova the bottom pulley and the alternator alomost hitting the side of the car not even 2mm gap is this normal? or will a need a spacer or something ! ??

Have you knocked the chassis back where the alternator sits? Also the bottom pulley needs the outer vee cutting off but keep it balnced as it sits on the crank.
