View Full Version : Seats for a Mk 2 Nova???

Hello! I'm new to the forum so sorry if this is in the wrong place!

I'm Dayle's girlfriend and we're currently restoring the White 1.6 16v Courtenay powered Nova. It's took a while but we're getting to the stage now where we're thinking about the interior. Has anyone got any tips for some nice seats that we can get that won't break the bank? Also how much modifying is involved in fitting them?

Any help would be appreciated!!! :thumb:

Should have said in original post I've already got a GSi interior but we're looking at possibly getting leather but would like a similar shape seat to the GSi ones. I like the shape of the ones we've got but I can't stand the colours! We're changing the colour inside from grey to black (carpets, dash etc) so need some black seats!

iv manta gte front seats,alot more comfortable than any nova seat,also im swapping soon for half leather pug 306 dturbo items

I've got some Escort Recaro seats in mine. They're grey in colour, but actually match the GSi interior pretty well.

Incredibly comfy too!

What were the recaros like to fit modification wise. we like the recaros as we had them when we owned a rs.

Not too bad. We used SR subframes with some of the brackets ground off, the seats pretty much bolted straight to them iirc.

Sit a little high, but then I'm used to sitting on the floor in the Celica lol

Lewi, you need to polish up the leather on the body of the seat, those headrests look darker...

:eek: Those seats are beautiful!!! Thats what I'd like, something like that or fully black!
