Whats the difference between a GSI rear bumper and a normal mk2 rear bumper?

And whats required to fit a MK2 rear bumper to a MK1 chassis?

GSI bumper has a bigger exhaust cut out! :thumb: Other than that - nothing else!

You'll need a mk2 bumper bar and the side plastic mounting clips to mount to the bumper to the qtr panel!

Holes need to be drilled in the 1/4 panels too iirc :)

the gsi bumpers have a smooth finish and the normal bumpers have a bobble effect on them

cool, cheers

drilling holes in the correct position might be a little tricky though, hmm

You shouldnt have to drill holes in the quarters my mate never and he's a G plate.

not true I'm afraid, under the paint the plastic is the same, I made the same coment before only to be told it's the layers of primer and paint that make it appear smooth,

yes the quarters need drilled, the mk1 has slide mounts and the mk2 simply bolts on at the sides.

Not the best picture but you should see the two holes where the bumper bolts go,

Top tip, mark twice, drill once.
