Hey all,

im in the middle of rebuilding my nova which is a mk 1 shell but I have mk 2 seats is it possible to fit them in ?

yes,although for split rears you will need the rear weld in brackets if its a base model

Nova seats fit in any nova, mk1 or 2

^not 100% true. There are some that had a different subframe.

The feet you bolt through on the front and the other way so dont line up.

You dont need them.

You could even swap the material over to a 1 piece bench and itd fit, but ive never put brackets in and ive had all kinds of interiors.

theyre not insecure though, its only a cushion you sit on.. and theres a brackets either side to position it

well when i fitted the seats they lined up with the seat rail but when sat on them it seemed to be raised quite alot so I need to take something off the subframe ? the seats I have are from a mk 2 sr 93 reg and the shell I have now is a 87 reg. Im not quite sure whats going on with them.

You can lower the seats on the front frame on the under side, there are two 13mms at the front and two 10mm rear bolts and the seat will lower on the subframe.

Just had a look at the seats and the subframe is already at the lowest point. Does anyone have a pic of mk1 seats fitted and also the fixing points as mine dont seem to want to fit properly not sure what im doing wrong.
