drilling bike carb jets

got my drill bit to drill the r1 jets, the only part that needs doing is the jet it self? and thats the first part that screw off? bout 1cm long?

yes thats the one - clamp the drill bit in the vice and turn the jet over it by hand seems to be the best way.

Can you not just buy the proper jets??

mate, the jets are only £1.20 each... spend the brass instead of drilling your old ones!
when made they are reamed which leaves a much better finish.
by drilling them out your going to have a very poor finish on the ID

forgot to say, I got mine from a place called Motocarb in liverpool, real sound guys and mine turned up the next day only ordered them at 3.30PM day before...
