As you all know, my little 1000cc Nova ahd got a Astra GTE 16v digi-dash fitted

Got stopped on the way home tonight by a bus driver, who told me my lights were flashing like a rave lol, pulled over and checked them,a nd this is what i found

WITH sidelights on:
Press brake, harards light up perm but dim, and so does foglight
Hazards on, brake lights flash and fog light comes on perm but dim
Foglight on, hazards and sidelighs are on perm but dim

WITHOUT sidelights on:

All above the same, but when you put the hazards on, the whole digi dash flashes like crazy!

Anyone have any idea what this could be because of? loose earth? dodgy dash wiring? Its kinda dangerous to drive at night knowing it could cock up again at any second lol, 99% of the time its fine though, it jsut fixed itself on the way home before

All help appreciated :(

It sounds like a dodgy earth, check the one behind the headlight that goes to the gearbox strap

Earth problem behind dash, in engine bay on chassis leg or on the rear boot panel

Figured it out to be water in the electrics i reckon

IT did it again before, my dad mudged the fusebox and it worked fine, i reckon waters coming in from the hole where the alarm wires are and running to the fusebox

Hairdryer and silicone time i think
