...once again annoying me

Been sat in pretty much all day waiting for a delivery. According to the tracking info, my package (oo-er) has been loaded onto a van at 0827 this morning for delivery between 0730 and 1730 today

Chances of actually getting said package today? lol

New phone. I want it for the weekend so I can play with it :d

I'm off to Hayleys in a bit, in fact leaving at half 5 gives me very little time to get there and get on with our fireworks night plans.

No, Desire Z. If I was being sent a Jesus phone I'd rather it had been sent to outer mongolia, be a good excuse not to use it lol

[edit]9 minutes remaining. Methinks Mr Citylink isn't going to turn up today. :witch:

Hayley rang them up (as I was too irate, and I'm useless on the phone lol)

First time round, we got to #2 on the queue and they cut us off. Rang back and bitched at the guy on the phone, asked to speak to a manager, who was busy but would ring us back as soon as she was finished with her current call. That was over half hour ago and no phonecall

Apparently its not up to them to inform us of any delay, as we are "not their customer, the phone shop is". So they supposedly contacted the phone shop to say there was no delivery today... according to their tracking logs though, that would have been half 8 at night! Bit late by then!

I refuse to take time off for couriers; just not worth it!

RM have been 'sorry' for 'missing me' quite a lot over the last few weeks despite someone being in pretty much at all times.

i just get stuff delivered to my workplace...... i would suggest that if it ever does turn up, sign it as unchecked, or packaging damaged or similar, then stick a claim in, followed by eBaying the replacement.

I used to get stuff delivered to work but as it's public sector if for some reason it doesn't make it into our departmental post area straight away it ****ing disappears into the ether and re-appears days later lol

you put ask at reception for extn no.______ & must only be signed by addressee etc on the delivery ticket..... then you get paged & go & get it in person...

They won't accept that, if you sign and take the parcel they won't honour a claim. So I'm planning on spending a good 5-10 minutes unwrapping the package and carefully checking over the contents whilst the delivery guy is stood on my doorstep. They wasted my time, I'll waste theirs :)

UPS played a blinder with us last Xmas..

They 'delivered' about £200 worth of gear from Australia, into a neighbour's green bin..

They didn't leave a card with us OR the neighbour..

The driver also forged my signature as though he'd delivered the parcel..

Because there were no cards left, the parcel remained undetected on the Monday..

On the Tuesday the green bins were (you're ahead of me here, I can tell) EMPTIED!

£200 of gear flattened and sent for recycling..

About twenty phone calls and a full investigation and a suspension or two later, we got a new load of gear delivered from OZ..

Just the sort of stress you need with your kids' gear the week before Xmas..

Bloody couriers, eh???

Apprently "delivery attempted". ORLY? My mum has been at home all morning and no deliveries have appeared, no cards in the door, etc.

I'm not wasting another day off work, but I'll finish early at 3pm and if its not home by then I'm giving them a nice pleasant phone call to ask bloody well where is my parcel and why the fcuk can a "delivery" company not deliver a simple parcel 30 miles up the road :)

My stuff travelled over 12000 miles without any trouble but fell down on the last bit between Gateshead and my place (20ish miles)..

Hopeless...

Because I don't want iAids and Orange don't offer the phone I want so can't get it in their shops :p

High street stores always charge $$$ over online retaillers anyway. Argument isn't with the retailler, in fact they've been pretty good sending me regular emails as to the progress of my order, its just now they're handed over to Citylink to deliver the item is when things have fallen down

Day 6 in the Citylink depot.

Van driver Wanky McUseless is sat in a lay by, eating McDonalds instead of delivering parcels.

The lying scrote who updates the tracking system has just been awarded a top literary prize for "greatest work of fantasy" for his work entitled "utter bullsh!t on a tracking website".

Meanwhile, Jack sits at work wearing down the F5 key on his keyboard and constructing a long letter asking why a logistics management company can't manage their own logistics

...and in Outer Mongolia, village elder Bathukhan is enjoying calling his relatives on his new and unexpectedly delivered HTC mobile phone

Ask the phone retailer for a refund as you havent recieved a service you paid for..... That should make them kick ****tylink up the ass. Or atleast use a different courier and claim for the phone off CL

Jack
09-11-10, 12:09 PM
If it doesn't get delivered today, I'm going to give the address of the depot to DHL and have them go collect the parcel then send the bill to citylink!

mowgli

Jack, i think the problem is that the courier is a specialist in linking cities, maybe try a courier like 'sh!thole link' next time & it will get there.

Lol this one time, i was waiting for some H&R adapters for my mk4 Golf, and i knew they should of been on the postmans van. So i seen him come up my estate, and then to my door with no package. So then i go to the local depo, not very happy, by the time i return, the same postman was outside my door with the parcel. So its obvious they have no common sense when it comes to delivering things in any particular order, they just deliver at random!

HOLD THE PHONE (literally)

At fcuking last. The delivery girl (damnit, I wasn't in but my mum was) said apparently they're hired a bunch of temp drivers who simply clocked off at midday and went home, hence her having a mountain of parcels to deliver.

Don't buy that for a minute (well I do, just not the bit about temp drivers), so I still plan on ramming a snottogram right up their pooper.

....once I've finished sexing my Z. Oh its so niiiiiiiice :d

My contract expires in the summer and I put off getting a Desire when they first came out because the rumour was that there was a QWERTY version to follow later..

Yodel are just as useless.when collecting, turned up day after they were booked, then some other clownshoe came the day after hahahahahaha

mowgli
30-12-14, 06:17 PM
to be honest, apart from ups & the post office, i think most of the rest of the parcel carriers are fairly crap... but having had an experience of discussing working a van for yodel about 2 years ago, i can see what the trouble is. we were expected to handle each parcel delivery, including re-deliveries for a quid a parcel. so to cover the costs of running a van & paying a wage, you'd need to do way more than 200 parcels a day to cover your costs. this is obviously impossible with any decent level of customer service.......

Andy
30-12-14, 06:29 PM
Google yodel.theres some funny horror stories out there.
iv never had any delivery trouble with them and only one collection issue in all fairness.
makes me laugh how they want people with brand new vans yet only pay nmw lol lol lol

i did a parcel collection from a shop type thing earlier this year, and paid extra for notification of its arrival... this never happened so i went to the shop to see if they'd heard anything. the woman said, its been here for a week, but we didn't know how to contact you. she looked pretty stupid when i pointed out the phone no. on the label in the funny box marked 'phone no.'
