View Full Version : Fitting Bucket Seats
Hi, I've got a set of bucket seats with side mounts and seat runners. I have no idea about how I would go about fitting them to the car. If anyone has any pictures on how they mounted theres or if they have a guide on how to fit them that would be great. Thanks.:thumb:
Bump! +rep to anyone that can help. I really have no idea on how to do this, any help possible will be apreciated.
The runners bolt to the horizontal section of the side mounts yeah? You'll need to make something up to attach to the original seat mounts (e.g. hack up a standard base mount), or make custom seat rails for it.

usually you'd want to weld in two pieces of square tubing to fix the side mounts to. ti dont have any pics of mine specifically, but you can just see them in the shot below.
You could make up maybe fix the sidemounts to the seat runners, then to the original base mount, all depending on the width of the seats youre fitting, but id think that would make it sit very high.

I cut my subframes up and drilled holes and bolted the bucket seats to them.

these fitted on the standard subframes tend to sit very high, and i recommend the welded in rails

Yes thats why i bolted them to the floor as you can see in the photo made them sit lower.
