OK,

after getting my carb sorted the guy that did the work said I have a small but attention seeking oil leak on the crank case seal. he said all i need to do is remove the large wheel at the bottom of the engine using a 19mm spanner (after removing the alternatir belt) then with a screwdriver gently prise it out and then slot a new one in using a flat head screwdriver to gently tuck it in place.

Is that it or is there more to it than that.

Do I need to drain the oil?

Will it affect the cam belt in anyway?

Will my timing be out

What time is love?

yeah thats about rite

can be a biatch

you will be a long time trying to take the pully nut off with a 19mm spanner ;) as its 17mm

you have to take off the cam belt to get the bottom cam belt pully thingy off (simple to do as you should have an autotensioner)

the pully can be tight fit

the seal does just push in once you took the old out

will the car be ok to drive though in the meantime?

Its not doing to damage the engine or owt? Its dripping v v v slowly but if you leave it for an hour or so you can see a small patch on the drive.

I guess as long as I keep my eye on my oil level it should be ok?

Or do you recommend I dont drive it (eg long trips)?

Not that I am at the mo anyway - can walk to work etc...
