Wheres the best place to find c20seh engine?

Hi i want to buy a c20seh lump with loom and ecu and they dont seem to pop up on ebay that often, just wondered if theres any other good sources for them without buying a whole car? cheers

They pop up on ebay now and again, they were fitted to the Cav sri 130 getting quite rare now.

i know yeah, have toyed with the idea of setteling for a c20ne but i like the idea of having the extra 15 bhp without having to modify anything. Are scrappyards a good bet or am i peeing in the wind with that one?

You might be lucky, To be honest a C20NE is 115 bhp, You could get that out of a mildly tuned e16se and you havnt gained the weight of a big block engine in the front.

Even finding a 20SEH/NE mk3 cav is difficult. They've all been banger raced along with the cortinas, granadas, sierras etc. Its much better to find a donor car with the engine you want though, at least you can hear the engine running and see how it all fits together (wires, hoses, etc)

i spose thats true, is there a big torque difference between the c20ne and e16se?

i would buy a donor car but im not too keen on the idea of storing it while i take the parts i need, idealy i`d like a c20xe but i wanted a more cost effective alternative to start with and also im planning on keeping my f15 box and i reckon that an xe would get through a couple a year lol

yeah its a shame, i reckon that the scrappage sceam didnt help matters, or banger racing as mentioned above

We're getting a Cav SRi with 20SEH, but we have plans for the engine already (and the black interior is going into my Cav SRi) They can be found, as long as you're willing to travel.

o.p the c20ne is nippy enough in a nova, if you can find one of them use that as a stepping stone to an xe.
