thanks PISTOL PETE. mate i have loads of pics of this,
its an A reg brown 2door coupe in brazil brown 59,890miles from new was standard when i bought it.
Ive owned this car for over a year and bought it of DAN STANLEY also a PNG user very cheap. It began as just a few repairs but then spiralled into a full respray full on show car build, ive fitted a zender front valence, shaved and smoothed engine bay, engine mounts rocker cover ect are chromed and will hide all piping and wiring. Ive relocated the servo by using a corsa servo where the battery used to be a relocated battery into the boot. The engine bay will be beige and rest of car thr original brazil brown. As u can c ive lowered it as far as it can go on Gaz gold fully adjustable coilovers with eccentric top mounts, i intend of driving this as low as possible and have even cut in half the front bumper stops. It has Bmw 7.5j 16's with brand new 165 40 16s ( very stretched) which are now thanks to the small side wall smaller diameter then the original 135 70 13s lol. Interior will be creame calibra leather front and rear seats. I will remove and smooth passengers door handel and just leave the door lock, this car has no N/S mirror from standard so il leave it smoothed of. At the back ive fitted to new rear arches that i just inner arch out and rolled the lips over. And will be smoothing rear boot lock and smoothing rear panel exhaust cutout and hide the exhaust tip.
Id really like to use a clear bonnet on this but still trying to find a way todo it well and a opel grill if any1 has 1 :D
this is very much going to be a Euro/ Retro build and will be something different with what i still have planned. any other pic requests or questions please ask thanks
I can tell this is going to turn out very cool :) will be keeping an eye on this :thumb:
. im using a corsa servo mounted were the battery used 2 be and smoothing old servo hole.
done this myself recently with great results, let me know if you need a hand with anything, ideas, measurements etc. i did mine via welding the metal bracket that sits between the servo on the corsa and the bulkhead onto my battery tray after removing the upturned lip on the end of it then just running a drill through the holes to drill through the bulkhead underneath. pedal needed shortening and bent a bit but looks really good once done. havent decided on pipe routing yet as i have the corsa m/c and the pipe splitter mounted slightly above the n/s of the steering rack, thinking under the lip where the bulkhead used to be, be interested to see you approach to this.

yh i bought them of a bmw e20 coupe look at my pics they have bmw centre caps
In all my time of being on e30zone ive never seen them wheels on an e30. They look a lot like equips to me, is there a bmw stamp on them?
Looks awesome though!
novadose2009
04-11-10, 08:47 AM
il check to look 4 a stamp on it see what brand they are i assumed there original bmw wheels as came on bmw and with the centre caps ect.
may sell wheels yet not desided
Keep the wheels, they look kinda retro-cool especially on a brown loon :thumb:
I hope they are BMW mate. It annoys me that Rota's designs are all rip offs anyway. Talk about unoriginal. I guess db means they resemble the clone of a Work Equippe 03?
Lovely looking saloon BTW. Those rims and that colour look the business. :)
I reckon your right L14MNP, they do resemble an equip design. Either way, i love them, and even though i have no car to put them on, id consider buying them!

How come your putting that plate in the battery tray ?
Is it a repair ? Or for the servo ?
novadose2009
10-11-10, 09:38 AM
corsa servo where the battery used to be and battery re located to boot.:thumb:
Should look awesome when its all painted up, wheels suit it.
Careful you don't raise the Corsa servo up too high with that new plate or you may find it touches the bonnet.
Master cylinder and resiviour change to a nova one should give more clearance
Pedal will need modding as well iirc
Master cylinder and resiviour change to a nova one should give more clearance
Good luck filling it, and keeping fluid to both ports with a nova reservoir.
I'm sure Craig switched to a nova one because of clearance issues on the bonnet, I may be wrong, he's gone all gay and got a Honda so I doubt there will be a post from him to put me right lol

You can turn it and it will clear. What there saying tho Si is about making it sit too high with the plate but looking at your pics I think you'll be fine. You adding the thick corsa plate aswell or not?
I see your also after a 1.0 throttle cable. I may have my old one in a box of bits somewhere. I'll take a look sat morning when I'm up there.

engine bay plans still to be finalized im using standard 1.0l pushrod and had engine mounts chromed and bonnect catch, spring ect. i still want to chrome rocker cover all engine bolts and bonnet hinges. The engine bay have been shaved and smoothed ive cut the bulk head out and beggining smoothing that over and relocated the servo by using corsa 1 and fitting it were battery used to be. i want the engine bay to be as empty and smooth as possible and still not sure on what i can do with washer and header tanks any1 have any ideas were i could relocate them or hide them?
The rest of the engine and block will be painted beige and so will the engine bay i think beige engine bay on brown car will be the bizz.
please comment on my ideas
i would keep the engine brown, i could see the beige looking wrong, but thats imo

Vectra washer bottle mate. Sits in the passengers wheel arch at the front. Its in 2 parts i believe - the main tank & spout which just comes through into the bay, then like a funnel if u will in the bay. If u ditch the funnel you could get it to sneak into the bay just behind the headlight out the way?
novadose2009
14-11-10, 11:54 AM
sweet mate u got one spare? Simps
i wanna no how the veedub boys do it when they have no water tanks in the bay just engine and gearbox thats what i wanna achieve.
It's worth baring in mind that some of those VW's don't run mate.
IMO using a Nova for a flushed bay puts you at an immediate advantage, the scuttle tray could house the header tank and keep it at a height the system will be fine with.
Anything else can be rammed into the scuttle/arches/behind the wings/below the headlights etc.
Keep up the good work. :thumb:

maybe i should make a aluminium or stainless custon header to fit into N/S scuttle between my heater and bonnet hinge but want as little piping and wiring on show as possible so maybe i could mount it were servo used to be or something
Corsa c header tank in the scuttle panel will sort it
Check out Benn's build thread some good pics in there on moving the geader tank

yeah im well happy with it been looking over a year for one
Needs to get some good big pics up dude.
Cause you've cut the bulk head out you'll have probs with hiding the header tank if you wanna do that.
Cause the header tank needs to be above the engine (highest water point for air bleeding) you cant hide it under the dash or such.
You could hide it behind/ on the inlet manifold. Or get a custom top fill rad made (something i've thought of) as then you'll only as the filler inlet on the rad sticking in to the bay, but that will be mostly hidden by the slam panel.
Or if you keep it. You could have it really tidily in the scuttle in a nice polished tank, as its only one two pipes which can be nice run to it. Tuck it up in one corner and fill like i do mine with a tube and funnel.
Remove the heater isn't hard. Get on JBI'S website on Ebay, buy one of the stainless steel water pipes (rear engine one) you can then cut off and weld over the rear one and add one in on the top for the heads water exit to re join. (and the one from the header tank use one of the rear ones) then you just plate the holes from the matrix. But the car will get cold in there remember..

il get some better engine bay pics up when i get a chance to thanks 4 help any ideas on tanks?
thinking i could have a stainless ( proberly baileys) header and a tank the same on other side for washer jets
Tanks? What header? I'd go a Baileys one as they look nice.
Fit the washer bottle under the dash, drill a hole right up under the scuttle so the water pipe to enter the bay (inline with the center wiper hole) Will be nice and hidden then.
That way you only have one tank in the bay.

sounds like a good idea mate would like to try mount it centrally so be symetrical.
also this is for anyone whats the tidiest engine to fit?as in least amount of wires, pipes ect as my 1.0l looks abit untidy
No engine is, you have to make it...
