My belovved nova C20XE that i have been working on a long time now and spent alot of money on has Died.

I have been driving it on trade plates as ive only just got it to a road worthy stage. The car has been runnibg up and down an industrial estate where i keep it and only driven steadily.

The engine was not run for maybe four years due to spending money and time on other things.

I was driving the car on the road set off in first gear.....put it into second gear BANG BANG BANG it was back fires galour then the engine died. I towed it back to my unit and at first i thought it was the cam belt that had snapped but it wasnt! then i noticed the timing has slipped! so i took the head off and the valves are fine and the pistons arent marked!

what should i do?
