i think so, i found that as well.
except of course, someone has gone TB & dispak....
yeh,
what rocker cover is it, as its different to the one i posted.
and did they only come in manta 400's?
its the later type cover, found in manta and ascona 400. the later development was in the astrra 4s as a 2.0 turbo. suprisingly the 2.4 8v fronty lump is the same bottom end with a different head. now heres the cool bit. over in germaneeee, its the done thing to get a carlton 24v head, lop the back 2 cylinders off and fit it to a 2.4 block, et voila diy 400 lump.

Like reverse BL engineering. lol
yeah, like so:
mr BL "oi knaw lets hack a rover v8 down, whack some copied twin cam heads on and try and beat 3mil worth of ford and audi."
mr BL's rally dept (garden shed) " and fit it tow a metro with a transformers bodykit nailed on!!!"
mr BL " luvlay oil git moi cawt"
^^6r4's are so ftmfw!! lol
thats a nice looking engine
is it out of this>>>>

nearly right........
williams grand prix engineering build the first prototype 6R4's and one was on a long forgotten itv drama about a family run rover dealership, and their son who rallied.......
the first prototype engine was actually based on cut down rover v8 blocks, but the v6 was built with other ideas..... at the time, rover was government owned, and the honda deal was shaky, they had plenty of 4cyl engines but they relied on the honda v6 for their executive models.... remember cars take a lot of years from design to production. rover came up with a way to design a v6 engine under the noses of honda without upsetting them, and in the end, never needed to make a production one..
the 6r4 lump was actually incredibly successful, in group c2, and turbocharged in the twr jag xjr cars, and the xj220c. so it wasn't a chopped down rover v8
