Ryhope Classic meet yesterday

Fail. It's a show not a meet lol.

As this is just around the corner from me, I attended with a few mates for the first time - then I left at 1pm to come home for the match :/ lol

Aye bmw, it surprised me. The pumping house still works and there's about 4 floors for you to go up and check it out. The land that health and safety forgot :d

There's no more yet Alex, but I guess more will be put up. it was parked just in front of us so I had a look at it. Even had the standard wheels. Nice to see one tbh!

There wasn't many Vauxhalls of interest there. No Nova's :( Just Velox's etc lol. Too old/boring IMO. I liked that mk1 Sportshatch Cav though.

Car of the show for me had to be that immaculate RS1600i, cos I fcuking love them. Also that XR41 was for sale, not bad at £1500.

Some nice cars there liking the clubman with 16v head. Is that a BMW bike head conversion? Liking the lancia fulvia aswell my old boy had 1 when I was a wee boy!!

Aye Ben it was a k bike head. Cool car. I meant to ask him what the wheels were. Any ideas?

Up until yesterday, the only Fulvia I had seen was in the scrapyard. They are awesome little cars.

No idea on the wheels mate can't quite see em on those pics. Loving the metro turbo aswell. Would love a standard one of those one day, lol don't know why though!!!

Yh my dad had a fulvia hf 1600 with twin 40's he rebuilt it when we were kids. I've only ever seen one since, was in one of the garages I deliver parts to, couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it!! Took some pictures for my dad, nice bit of nostalgia for him! lol

Yeah Peester, it's a nice place mate. Gotta love old tin. I wouldn't have given much of that more than a second glance a good few years back, but now even if I don't 'get' it it's nice to see the old skool tech and just admire the fact that they're still around.
