My daughter wants one of these for crimbo, and being old i have no idea what i'm looking for lol What do i get? ds/dsi/dslite? what's the newest model? can copied games be played in them? anything else i need to know? lol :thumb:

all i know about them is that the open game boxes (2" square) really hurt when you step on them barefooted... i'll ask missus when she is up (nights atm), as she understands them...

I 'think' the dsi is still the one to go for, both of my girls have one as does the wife and they are worth every penny, especially if you like peace and quiet :thumb:.

As regards everything else i dont know or care, my objective was acheived as mentioned above lol lol lol lol lol

R4 cards etc can be bought for playing games, they work on the orginal DS, not sure about the DSi - for so i have been told..

DO NOT pay more than £20 for an R4/M3 card :)

note the card itself and the firmware isnt illegal before anyone tries to mount a tall horse

yes it does, but you cant put newly released games on it as different software

ive got a ds light and its great.
Me and Elsie took ours to ibiza this year for when it got to hot (Midday)
Just chilled out for abit on a linked up game.

Lets you run homebrew software.... and erm do naughty things if you are that way inclined... which we do not like here ;)
