right well after my crash in the sr, i wanted something abit calmer so got a pug dturbo, but the urge got worse and worse and i just had to get one again! saw this one on ebay as did most of you proberly.
its a 1990 1.4sr
plans for it are to fit my lowering kit, corsa sport brakes, flappy mudflaps and to sort the bodywork out. :)

Good effort, how much?

It needs lowering at the front, different wheels or at least colour, grill surround and mirror covers colour coding imo! I love the mk1 1.4's you don't see that many around.

Oh and get some security as black novas go missing, mine did :(

hahaha spudly, i wont this time learnt my lesson, hopefully going to make it a good example of a 1.4sr, i havnt seen one around for a while.
on the email virus subject i have looked and i dont have a clue how to fix it and i apologize as it must be bloody annoying, does anyone know any info on how to remove it (jack) lol
i bought it for £500
and in the pics the wheels do look tacky but they actually look good in flesh after i have washed it i will take some more.
i agree with the color coding as well.

the car has developed a few problems today, pretty much the guy i bought it off syphoned all the fuel out so i didnt make it to the nearest garage (3 miles) and had to walk the rest to get a can..... this therefore sucked up all the crap at the bottom of the tank. this then blocked the idle jet but eventually it cleared itself. what are the main parts in the fuel system to get blocked?

also the fuel gauge has now had a paddy and reads full all the time, and varies largely.

and last when i pull away the whole car judders violently, even at high revs. am i right in believing this could be the damper springs in the clutch? or maybe some oil on it causing it to snatch?

cheers for any help

Fit a fuel filter, Juddering, sure its not a completely funked CV/gearbox?

How many miles it done?

yh i think i have narrowed it down to the clutch had a new one in 2005 so shouldnt be worn, but its low and it is the cluth causing it to judder lol.
fit a filter to stop the carb getting clogged?

Is it juddering during acceleration? Could be being starved of fuel.....Give the carb a bloody good clean out and then stick an inline filter in it!:thumb:

cheers nov16vxe, it might be that actually, because come to think of it, the problem started when it ran out of fuel. but then again i can pull away at 3k and it still does it
