Had been on the lookout for a good condition standardish white mark 1 Nova for a while, and came across this last week!
Mark 1 TD with 33k miles from new!
Has a few small bits of trim missing, and the odd dent, but otherwise mint which is just what I want.

Fitted an SR interior to it so far and gathered up a few parts for it to complete my plan, to look like this, but with Opel badging!

It's booked in to get the dents sorted in January so just getting it ready for MOT at the minute!

lookin very clean....but why THOSE wheels :p

Which ones, the 3 spokes or Speedlines?

I don't care what anyone says, I think Speedlines are the best looking wheel for a Nova so that's what will be going on! Although if you look closely the 3 spokes have Opel centre caps, so there may bit a variation from time to time!

Would a petrol backbox fit the TD? Want a nice tailpipe for it, but don't want to buy something that doesn't fit! Don't want it sounding like a tractor either, so any recommendations?

GSi has now been moved forward again in the shed, so there might be some updates this year at some point!!!lol

Next question on TD - should I change the bumper stripes to white and put on the clear side repeaters/indicators, or leave it as it is?
Clear lights did not look good at all as it is now, so unsure about them?

2 wheel bearings to go into it tonight, don't think I've ever heard noiser ones than what is in it now!

I would leave it as it sits now as it looks really well :thumb: Was never really a fan of white indicators on a white Mk1, the amber breaks it up a bit I think.

One small criticism from me is that the bumpers don't match the grill/lower half.

I presume those are painted? I'd have the bumper done the same - other than that it does look spot on!!

Bumpers/grill are not painted. Early facelft SR's had the black grill instead of the blue/grey. I would prefer the blue/grey, but getting one in good condition is proving difficult.

In hindsight I should have painted the whole lot to match the bottom half, but I wanted to keep the unpainted look, hard to know what is best!

I'm not a fan of painted bumpers so didn't paint them! I use some sort Meguairs Gold Class stuff on the bumpers, will get the proper name of it tonight. Back bumper is the one that came on the car so holds it's colour well, front needs done everytime I take it out as it seems to fade quickly!lol

Bought this car with no tax book or known ID, but after a bit of digging (and the eventual realisation that I didn't need the reg to get the log book!!), it's finally on the plates it should be on! Taxed and MOT'd now, and fitted electric windows and central locking courtesy of Will F!

Meant to say, when I was taxing it I asked when it was last on the road and they informed me the last tax expired in November 1992, car was first registered in December 1990!!

Put the Speedlines back onto it for a change, part of me really like them, but sometimes I think the 3 spokes suit it better!

Had it out for a drive with the Irish Escort Club at the start of September, was a great day out, and they had a few professional photgraphers along the way, so here is a sample of the pictures:
